Scabiosa

Scabiosa, also known as pincushion flower due to its multiple pin-like florets, is a long-stemmed flower with blooms around 1 a half inches in size, and it can grow between 1 and 2 and a half feet tall. Modern varieties are shorter. This flower is a native of Southern Europe and can be found in white, pink, lavender, purple and almost black (very deep maroon). It is a very popular garden flower because it produces a lot of nectar, attracting butterflies and bees. Scabiosa flowers add a garden or wildflower touch to any bouquet or floral arrangement.
