Wedding flower bouquets are often made with roses - of course

One thing roses do well, is star in wedding flower bouquets. You see them everywhere during the wedding season. White rose bouquets, red rose bouquets, round bouquets, small or large ... roses are the first consideration for many brides as they think about the flowers they will carry into the church and through the day. I think part of this is because roses are traditionally used in weddings. What I mean is, they are the first choice for a bridal bouquet simply because they are thought to be the only choice. Of course there are delightful alternatives to fresh cut roses. Brides might carry a long stemmed flower, or a bunch of several varieties of flowers mixed with pleasant greenery. But for most of us, when our daughters walk down the aisle, they will be carrying roses. (Mine was!)
